The Astronomy Education Network was created by the Canadian Astronomical Society as a vehicle to bring expert knowledge, as well as enthusiasm about the study of the universe to people of all ages, cultural backgrounds and economic status. By making available resources such as telescopes and accurate information, we hope to bring to others the wonder and shared sense of exploration and discovery that can be found by observing the night sky and by discussing what we've found both scientifically and philosophically.
Through astronomy, humans can better understand our environment and our place in the universe. This knowledge links generations and cultures through space and time and should be accessible to all who seek it.
