Joining the Group [⯅ Top]
I am always happy to hear from people interested in working
with me! Below is some information about the normal routes for joining my
research group. Feel free to contact me if you have
questions.
- Undergraduate Students — During
the academic year I prioritise students doing their final-year research
project
(AST425);
sometimes I will list a
work-study
position. During the summer, I prioritise students in the
University
of Toronto Summer Research Programme (SURP) in astronomy and
astrophysics.
- Graduate Students — New
graduate students at the University of Toronto are warmly
invited to be in touch if they might be interested in working with me.
(Note that to join my group as a graduate student you first need to be
accepted into
our
programme; if you have been accepted into another programme at U of T,
e.g., physics, you can also contact me.)
- Postdoctoral Fellowships — I am
not currently advertising a position, but feel free to reach out if you
are interested in my research.
- Other — In general I am not
able to offer internships or similar research experiences; I prioritise
University of Toronto students, with the exception of the undergraduate SURP
programme (see above), open to full-time students at a Canadian university
eligible to work in Canada.
