About Me

I'm a PhD candidate in the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics and the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Toronto. For my PhD thesis, I am grateful to be working under the supervision of Renee Hlozek (Dunlap Institute) to understand how the universe transitioned from neutral to ionized. Outreach Activities

I'm very passionate about outreach activities, getting the public excited about the universe and all we are trying to figure out in the universe. Particularly, I'm interested in reaching young students in high schools to get them interested in pursuing Astronomy, or science in general as a career.

Teaching Evaluations

As a teaching assistant, students send in teaching evaluations at the end of each term. A few of the student responses are below.

"Margaret was a fantastic TA. She explained even the most complex astronomical concepts in terms that were easily understood by both myself and my peers."

- Anonymous

"Gave thorough explanations of the tutorial questions and helped ensure that everyone in the group understood the questions."
