The main loss of time: The gearbox failure in February 2000 (37 nights); fire in the generator room in October 2001 (8 nights), painting of the dome in July 1999 (4 nights); failure of the original Thomson CCD detector in September 2003 and instalation difficulties with its replacements (#2 & #3) and with the JY#1 detector system in the period October 2003 to October 2004 (about 50 nights); aluminizing of the main mirror each year in September/October (5 nights each year); the rest are vacations, holidays and other staff related reasons.
