Prospectice Graduate Students

Thank you for your interest in my research group!

If you are interested working with me as a graduate student and becoming a member of the ART, then I encourage you to apply to our direct-entry PhD programs in astronomy and statistics. At the University of Toronto, for graduate programs in the David A. Dunlap Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics (DADDAA) and in the Department of Statistical Sciences (DoSS), prospective students must first apply through the department and then choose a supervisor in year two of the program. As joint-faculty between DADDAA and DoSS, I can supervise students in either department. If you are interested in astrostatistics, then you can apply to either or both departments.

In DoSS, upon application to the program, you will be asked to provide a list of faculty you are interested in working with. If you put my name down, then I will see your application! In DADDAA, you can mention my name in your personal statement, and then there is a good chance the admissions committee will flag it for me to see.

Here is information on how to apply to the DADDAA and the DoSS respectively (you may apply to either or both programs):
